The Overview

The winner takes all in the end but to do so, you must be the first to accumulate a $10,000,000 fortune from the Stock Market, Casino, Race Track and Real Estate quadrants!

BOARD DESIGN

The board has 4 action packed quadrants where up to 8 players can seek their fortune in the CASINO, RACE TRACK, REAL ESTATE, and STOCK MARKET. In the CASINO, you are playing blackjack while in the RACE TRACK, you are horse racing. In REAL ESTATE, you are buying and selling property, while in the STOCK MARKET you are buying and selling stock. Each quadrant includes playing squares from the other three to keep the entire game active at all times e.g. there are CASINO, REAL ESTATE, and STOCK MARKET playing squares in the RACE TRACK quadrant. When you unfold the board it measures 38" by 24"

HOW TO WIN There are two methods of winning Fortune Seeker. The most common is to be the first player to arrive at or pass through the boards center logo with at least $10,000,000 cash and no debt. The second is to be the owner of an oil field in REAL ESTATE that has an oil gusher.
STRATEGY Players must determine their own investment and betting strategy. Investing is done in REAL ESTATE and STOCK MARKET while betting is done in the CASINO and RACE TRACK. Each quadrant allows for the variety of low, medium, and high risk strategies to be underway at the same time. Staying diversified in all quadrants and knowing when to change risk levels are keys to accumulating a $10,000,000 fortune.
GAME SQUARES Color coded playing squares provide simple advancement and playing instructions. Normal play is clockwise around the perimeter of the board. The playing squares that divide the quadrants offer high risk and high reward opportunities and a fast way to bypass the perimeter to get to a specific quadrant.
GAME PARTS Players use a large colored pawn to move around the board and matching colored disks to designate their investments or bets. Six colored race horses and a pawn are used in the RACE TRACK. Three dollar signs are used in the STOCK MARKET. The CASINO uses 3 pawns. Two 6 sided dice are used for player advancement and asset selling. The 8 sided as well as the 12 sided polyhedral dice are used for locating "oil strikes" and identifying "disasters" in the REAL ESTATE quadrant. Investments and payments are coordinated by $50,000, $200,000, and $1,000,000 denominations of play money. Loan cards record each loan from the bank. The money and loan cards are stored in a removable tray that sits by the banker during the game.
HOW TO MOVE AROUND THE BOARD Players advance by rolling the two 6 sided dice and moving ahead by their combined total e.g. a 4 and 3 requires a move of 7. Movement through the 95 perimeter squares is clockwise. Movement through the 38 inner squares can be in any direction as long as forward movement is maintained. Backward movement is never allowed..
BANK LOANS Borrowing money from the bank is how players obtain cash to invest or bet. Players can only borrow at the beginning of their turn. One $2,000,000 loan is allowed per turn. The banker will issue a loan card with each loan. No player is allowed more than 10 bank loans at a given time. Borrowing from other players is permitted if repayment terms are agreed upon. Loans can be repaid at any time during the game.
LIQUIDATE SQUARES The board has 6 "LIQUIDATE" squares that permit the player who lands on it to sell assets in an attempt to earn profits.
HOSTILE BUYOUT SQUARES The board has 2 "HOSTILE BUYOUT" squares that permit the player who lands on it to purchase one asset from each player for $200,000 e.g. purchase a $1,000,000 SKYSCRAPER for $200,000! Be prepared to make your opponents angry as you make thousands at their expense!
